JOCELYN DACIC

DIRECTOR/OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Interactive Health Solutions was founded by Director and Principal Consultant, Jocelyn Dacic. Jocelyn commenced her career as an Occupational Therapy assistant whilst achieving a Bachelor of Health Science (Occupational Therapy) at the University of Sydney, in 1998. Upon graduation Jocelyn accepted a post graduate role as an Occupational Therapist/Rehabilitation Consultant in Orange consulting across outpatient clinics, private hospitals and rural occupational rehabilitation clientele in Central West NSW.

It was this first role in rural NSW that ignited Jocelyn’s passion in workplace injury prevention, workplace wellness and evidence-based injury management intervention. Jocelyn continued perfecting her expertise within the insurance industry, consulting as an Injury Management Adviser at QBE, and the IAG group, before returning back to her passion working in occupational rehabilitation. Jocelyn’s distinctive and diverse background over the years lead her to launch Interactive Health Solutions in 2013  as an NSW accredited occupational rehabilitation company.

Jocelyn has strived to foster and build a business that is focused on delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders by creating and committing to the IHS Service Delivery Model and recruiting like-minded professionals. Jocelyn prides herself on maintaining a service delivery model that actively promotes collaborative and proactive service, evidence-based practice, effective communication, and quality results driven service. Jocelyn successfully delivers this model in a professional, personable and empathic manner.

With a career spanning twenty-five years, Jocelyn continues to deliver exceptional results across a broad range of industries. Through years of experience, Jocelyn has developed a deep understanding of workplace wellness and workplace-based rehabilitation. She enjoys educating and engaging with each stakeholder has, not only in the return-to work journey, but the prevention of injury in the workplace and the benefits of good work.

In order to remain current in our ever changing world and to ensure the provision of the most effective, evidence based services, Jocelyn undertakes regular ongoing professional education. Some recent focus areas include: Mediation and Dispute Resolution, Mental Health First Aid, WorkHab Functional Capacity Evaluation, WorkFit Post offer Employment Testing and PGAP (Progressive Goal Attainment Program) addressing psychosocial barries impacting return to work. Jocelyn’s free time involves  finding joy in the simple things in life including spending time with her husband and three teenage boys on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, camping, good food, and beach swims.

ELENA FANOUS

REHABILITATION COUNSELLOR/PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Elena Fanous is a dedicated Rehabilitation Counsellor who has been working in the field since 2010. Elena developed a passion for helping others at a very young age and pursued a career in Rehabilitation Counselling after completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology in 2009 at Macquarie University.

As a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Elena works with individuals to develop a personalized plan for their rehabilitation and recovery, which often includes vocational assessments and counselling, job search support, return to work plan and management. She is committed to helping her clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life and takes a holistic approach to her clients’ recovery that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of rehabilitation. Throughout her career as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Elena has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of needs, including those with physical disabilities, mental health conditions, chronic pain and other life challenges.

In addition to her work as a Rehabilitation Counsellor, Elena has recently become a registered Provisional Psychologist, further expanding her expertise and ability to help her clients. Elena is known for her compassionate approach and her ability to connect with her clients on a personal level. She believes that everyone has the potential to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals and is driven to understand her client’s needs and help them realize their goals and potential.

Elena’s passion for her work is evident in her ongoing commitment to professional development and her desire to stay up-to-date with the latest research and therapy techniques in her field. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors, and regularly attends conferences and workshops to expand her knowledge and skills.

MELANIE DIMAURO

EMPLOYMENT CONSULTANT

Melanie has been working in vocational training and career development for the last 25 years and within the workplace rehabilitation sector for the last 10 years. Melanie has an honours degree in Adult Education and is passionate about helping people discover careers and jobs that they love.

Melanie’s career in vocational guidance started with assisting long term unemployed and disadvantaged people return to the workforce. Since then, she has worked with disadvantaged youth, long term unemployed people, and injured workers to help them find areas of interest and improve their ability to work.

Melanie has worked with a diverse group of individuals and is part of a multidisciplined team that takes a wholistic approach to assisting our clients. Melanie enjoys finding new ways to engage the people she works with. Melanie also works in the HR and WHS space and continues her professional development by completing in house training and industry specific courses.

Outside of work, Melanie offers careers guidance to young people finishing, or just out of school, on a voluntary basis. She also likes to socialise with friends and family, cook, read, swim, travel and is a devout Manly supporter.

HEATHER KANE

ADMINISTRATION MANANGER/RETURN TO WORK CO-ORDINATOR

Heather is Interactive Health Solutions’ Administration Manager/Return to Work Coordinator, and so much more.

Apart from ensuring the smooth operation of the administration of IHS, she is often our initial contact point and is ready to assist with any queries. She will often think outside the box and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service to ensure our client’s needs and expectations are managed seamlessly in a prompt and friendly manner.

With an extensive background in health care administration and insurance claims management, along with small business management in manufacturing/automation, logistics, retail and hospitality, she brings a diverse range of experience and knowledge to assist with delivering exceptional service to her colleagues and external stakeholders alike.

In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking up a storm, attending music and art events, attempting to learn languages online, and ensuring her fur babies are living their best life.
