The Initial Assessment is completed promptly after referral and involves a face to face meeting with the injured worker to establish rapport and engage the worker early into their return to work program.
Workplace Assessment
A workplace assessment is a specialised on-site assessment of a worker’s duties and/or potential suitable duties.
Ergonomic Assessment
Ergonomic assessments, also referred to as workstation assessments, ensure that a worker’s workstation is ergonomically designed to minimise the risk of injury and maximise productivity.
Activities of Daily Living
An Activities of Daily Living assessment analyses a person’s functional performance in the areas of personal self care and general activities in and around the home.
Functional Capacity Evaluation
A Functional Capacity Evaluation uses a series of standardised tests and work specific simulation activities to assess a worker’s functional capacity for work or potential to return to suitable work. All Functional Capacity Assessors at IHS are trained using the WorkHab Functional capacity assessment tool.
